Sport and relax at Hotel Pod Zvičinou

The entire hotel complex offers a variety of activities for both hotel guests and the general public. Location on the edge of the forest, 2 km from the main road, from where further lead only (cyclo/) hiking trails, combined with a beautiful view of the Giant Mountains, let you spend quiet moments here and relax from everyday worries. Even the possibilities for active rest are wide. The tennis court has been serving the hotel guests since the beginning of the last century. The former clay surface was replaced with artificial turf in 2012. The tennis court can be booked by hotel guests as well as by other persons.

The Labe (Elbe) river and the fairytale dam Les Království (Forest Kingdom Dam) that lies on it are a stone’s throw away from us. Take this opportunity, invite your family or friends and experience an adventure on the water! We will rent you the canoes and transport them to the dam Les Království or to Dvůr Králové (from 3 pcs) for the price of  300 CZK / canoe. In the case of your own transport the price is 200 CZK / canoe.

You can play garden chess and checkers, ping-pong and table football on the terrace of the hotel. So you will enjoy sports with views of the mountains. The bats and ball for table tennis can be borrowed free of charge at the hotel reception.

In our neighborhood you will find a network of cycle paths (inspiration here). Since we are in the foothils of the Giant Mountains, do not expect any flat roads. But don’t worry, pedalling up to the hills reward you with the beautiful panoramas! Nonetheless, anyone, who does not like cycling into the hills, can try Elbe Cycle Route along the river to reach Hradec Králové (or other interesting places on the route). If you do not want or can not bring your own bicycles, we will be happy to rent them to you.

In the vicinity of the hotel there are 3 fun educational trails for children for different age categories. Diverse game elements (chute, sandbox, climbing frames, …) are placed throughout the hotel area. In case of rainy weather, there is also an indoor playground. In our minifarm, children can observe the life of common farm animals such as sheep, goats, geese, ponies and donkeys.

Especially for (long) winter evenings, there are the outdoor wooden bathing casks HOT-TUB. The water is heated by burning wood under the casks. Since warming up the water takes more time, it si necessary to make a reservation at least 24 hours in advance (tel.: +420 499 396 381). Several times during the winter we organize HOT-TUB weekends.

The capacity of one cask is 4 persons, the price is 750 CZK.

In our HOT-TUBs there is a bar shelf above the water, where you can put your drinks. 😉

The Giant (Krkonoše) Mountains are approximately 35 km away from us. But even in the foothills of mountains you can experience great winter! Almost from the hotel’s door you can go onto our ski slope with ski lift (suitable for beginners). At certain times and for larger groups we provide ski instructor services. Approximately 1 km from the hotel there is a 400 m long blue slope “Severka”. For the cross-country skiers there are tracks around Zvičina. However, it always depends on the actual snow conditions. If you don’t have the equipment, we will be happy to rent it to you.

Except from these activities we can recommend you some interesting TIPS FOR TRIPS in our info centre (for example: Safari Park Dvůr Králové nad Labem, fairy-tale dam Les Království, castle Pecka or hospital Kuks). GEOCASHING fans will be delighted with the existence of a series of “caches” in the vicinity of the hotel.
