Whether you go for an one-day trip or you decide to spend a holiday here, you will not be bored! Due to its location in the middle of nature, Hotel Pod Zvičinou is predestined to be visited by families with children. Families with children can appreciate the 4 to 5 bedded rooms with two separate bedrooms and shared bathroom. On any room we can provide a cot. Those who love adventure can also enjoy accommodation in wooden cabins or own tents in our camp. More information.
Diverse game elements (chute, sandbox, climbing frames, …) are placed throughout the hotel area. On the the hotel’s terrace you will find a ping-pong table (bats available free of charge at the reception), table football and garden chess and checkers. Directly beneath the terrace there is a tennis court and a playground suitable for volleyball or badminton. A small football pitch is next to the campsite.

In August 2018, our offer of activities was extended by a popular-educational forest trail. It’s fun for both kids and adults! The walk through the wooden panels familiarizes the visitors in an entertaining manner with the forest life, various species of animals and plants and also ecological problems.
The trail was installed close to two important buildings that remind of the long history of the former Spa under Zvičina – the chapel of the Virgin Mary and the Octagonal pavilion.
The trail is primarily available in Czech, but generally it can be understood by everyone. 🙂
In our minifarm, your children can observe the life of common farm animals. There are currently 2 ponies, 2 goats, 2 geese, and a herd of sheep. In the paddock with ponies you will see even 2 donkeys (the little one born in September 2019 ????). We will be glad if you want to help us feed the animals. In case of interest, please ask the hotel staff for suitable feed.
A natural swimming pool filled with spring water from the local well is part of a small camp near the forest, about 150 m from the hotel’s main building. The swimming pool is complemented by a heated children’s pool with salt water and a shower. In addition, there is also an outdoor playground and sandbox.
Entrance fee to the swimming pool is 20 CZK / person (for hotel guests free of charge). Tickets can be purchased at the reception of the hotel.
We are prepared for the bad weather too. An indoor playground full of climbing frames, slides, tunnels and jumpers is located in a building called “villa”, which is connected to the main building (with a restaurant) by so called colonnade. The key from the playground will be provided by the hotel staff.
The entrance fee is 20 CZK / child.
Even in the foothills of the Giant (Krkonoše) Mountains you can experience great winter! Almost from the hotel’s door you can go onto our ski slope with ski lift (suitable for beginners). At certain times and for larger groups we provide ski instructor services. Approximately 1 km from the hotel there is a 400 m long blue slope “Severka”. For the cross-country skiers there are tracks around Zvičina. However, it always depends on the actual snow conditions. If you don’t have the equipment, we will be happy to rent it to you. For relaxation in the winter evenings, you can use the outdoor wooden bathing casks HOT-TUB!

Do you like cycling but you don’t want to take your bike with you? Never mind. We have a RENTAL SERVICE, where you can rent a bike (also with a kid seat). You can borrow not only BIKES, but also CANOES. For bigger groups we arrange trips on canoes, where you will set off on exploring inaccessible nooks of the dam or try the 12 km long way from Dvůr Králové to Kuks (on the Elbe River).
